Frequently Asked Questions
Is Teletherapy appropriate for my child?
Teletherapy is an appropriate model of care for many patients and diagnoses. This model of care provides support, recommendations, direct patient interaction, and demonstrations to families in order to progress their child's oral feeding skills. It is a fantastic option for families in rural communities who may lack access to feeding specialists. Because of the complex nature of feeding difficulties, some aspects of your child's care may need to be managed by a specialized medical team. For children requiring medical case management, such as those with complex neurological diagnoses and swallowing impairment, tele therapy can be an excellent resource for follow up care. We will guide you through the decision-making process during your free consultation.
